On the back of Twittergram , the service to send voice / audio messages over Twitter, Dave Winer is at it again. Developing more useful Twitter mashups that is.
This time his creation is called "Twitter for Pictures ". Fred Wilson at A VC is calling it Twickr . It is a mashup of Twitter and Flickr where you can send a picture to Flickr and then it automatically updates your twitter subscribers. Pretty cool.
UPDATE - Here is the actual Flickr to Twitter page , it is only in limited trial so you will need to ask Dave for a chance to try it.

replacing Twitter icon/posting actual pic?
Hey, is there any known way to have your twitter icon updated from a webcam or a picture you email from your phone? Seems to me that with text only you're getting just a part of what is going on at that moment. Being able to either change the twitter user icon or have a picture posted along with the message would be the perfect set up.
I can't get it to work
I set up the connection via the web page and it said that everything was a go. I selected to have photos tagged wit "twitfoto" to be the only ones sent to Twitter ... then I uploaded a new foto and tagged it .... but it doesn't show in Twitter at all....
