I just signed up for a twitter account this morning, and I have been getting that same error message for the past 30 minutes. It is highly frustrating, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem.

When is it "safe" to revisit the Twitter website?
Your recent posting on the Home Page here advises "not to visit this site." When will we know (how can we tell...when it is safe?) I cleared out my browser, ran a virus/spy scan (that was fine), as you previously suggested but this "worm" thing has me spooked. Appreciate any further advice.

You should be fine to visit Twitter. Specifically, it's the Juste ru site that you should avoid visiting - this worm only affects people who follow a link in a Tweet to that website.
Can not get signed into my Account
Every time for the past 4 days when I log into my account I get the following message "This website's Security Certificate Has Expired"....and I can not access my account. How do I get around this???
Browser Cache
Try completely clearing your browser's cache - this should force your browser to get a new security certificate from Twitter.com.
picture problems
I have been having problems with uploading pictures. It lets me know that it excepted the pic but it does not show up at all on the my profile or anyone elses. Also having problems with not being able to find myself or new users on people search. Connection is very slow and it keeps kicking me off becuase of to many people on the site. Twitter seems like a very cool concept but the structure internally need alot of work.
Problems with Twitter
Yes, I have experienced similar problems with Twitter across the board. I've heard many great things about the networking capacity but I have been prompted with "too many tweet" error messages and 'there must be something wrong with your photo'. The issue clearly lies with the program ... very frustrating.
Twitter screen distorted and pages loading slowly
For a week now, it takes 2-3 minutes to load Twitter pages and, when they do come up, they're not the original Twitter format, just some bizarre distortion of it. Hard to use Twitter this way. All of my computers, Mac and pc, give me the same stuff. Any ideas?
After 3 weeks my new account can't be found on twitter
I signed up my animal rescue group on May 3 so I could post info about new animals coming into the group. It is now May 22 and you still can't find my account, rainfl, in twitter search. They say it is a known problem, but THREE BLOODY WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Missing from search, deeper scalability issues?
I agree with you that '3 bloody weeks!' is too long, but we have been absent from the searches for Six Weeks Now! I'm beginning to wonder if Twitter is even worth it at this point. Since we're a Michael Weatherly and NCIS TV Show website published by fans, we would expect people to be able to find us when searching on 'NCIS' ...but no luck. We were gaining followers until we disappeared from the search. When that happened, we've gained only a handful of new followers, while other accounts with NCIS as part of their username continue to gain followers.
At this point, we're looking into using a similar service. Twitter seems unable to address what should be a simple issue, indicating a deeper problem with scalability and a severe underlying design flaw. Combined with frequent outages and over-capacity errors I think many users will drift away from twitter. Looking at Twitter usage trends, which began falling in May, it's obvious many other users share this frustration. What good is an account if people can't find you.
I'm giving Twitter a little more time, but if things stay the same, I know I'll not be making any Tweets after July 1st.

Twitter Issues
I haven't been able to connect to Twitter for over 4 days now. Everytime I try I get "the web page you tried to access is not avaiable". No matter what portion of Twitter I try to go to. I can't even access the homepage.

@Sue - it sounds like the problem you're having might be on your end, and not Twitter's, as the site hasn't had any downtime.
Try this:
Clear your browser's cache, including your browser history. When you type the Twitter URL into your browser window, don't let firefox "autocomplete" it for you - type the whole thing yourself to make sure it's working right.
Are you accessing Twitter through the web?
Page is full of Asian characters or "blocks"
I haven't been able to read anything on my Twitter page since I started a month ago. Everything is either in "little blocks" or Asian characters. I can't find anyway to fix this. Am I alone? No one on any of the blogs seems to have this problem.

My Account is Spontaneously Canceled
My account was suddenly canceled. I went through the procedure to restore it and it is still canceled in spite of the promise to restore it in a few moments. The 2 desperate messages to Twitter have not been answered.

Looks like twitter is down again. I'm not getting any updates on my phone, or replies to my twitter commands.
twitter outage 2 DAYS....WTF?
I thought the outage would have been a few hours in the early morning hours of 5/15, but it's been almost 2 days now.
m.twitter.com is down, the main page, and the widgets are not refreshing and showing old updates.
Was there any notification of the outage?
I guess cause it's free we just have to deal with it.
Personally, I am checking out Meebo Rooms as an alternative.

Actually, I see that m.twitter.com is working fine for me. Perhaps your carrier has blocked it or you've run out of data on your plan?
