Following up our post about Twitter directories Twitterholic and TwitDir , there is another new kid on the block. It is a Twitter directory that claims to be the ONLY real-time Twitter search engine. That might be a big claim to make since TwitDir is also real time, it says so on their web site and their owners posted in the comments to the same tune on our last post. There are only a few Twitter directories out there so come on guys, get your facts straight.
Other than that, it looks like you can search users AND posts. That is where it differs from the others. It appears that you can search anything and it returns the results "google style".
There is also a stats page, here is a picture for you...
And here is their website at TwitterTroll.

tweets per day
Great comments! TwitterTroll.com had a sharp decline in indexing posts because of a change in the index script I made to cache the users profile image. I've since learned that caching the profile image is pointless as the image links change so I adjusted the script and am now back on track indexing about 20,000 tweets a day:

Bruno has another post about this up on his blog that concludes that TwitterTroll may be only indexing 1/3rd of the total Twitter Tweets. http://twitterfacts.blogspot.com

Declining number of posts indexed by day
I am surprised to see the decline in the number of posts indexed by day reported by TwitterTroll. Is the number of Twitter messages really going down so spectacular ? Or is it linked to TwitterTroll, not being able to index all messages from the public timeline. Or is there another explanation ?
Earlier, I concluded from stats from Twitterment that there were about 25,000 Twitter messages per day (http://twitterfacts.blogspot.com/2007/06/twitter-messages-per-day-twitte...).

Good observation Bruno, if you find any more info on why this could be, do let us know. thx
