"Here’s a little secret no one seems to know about (or at least before this post!). There is a Skype robot which will post to your Twitter account.Here are the simple instructions:
- Add twitter4skype as a contact.
- Type the following as a single chat message to twitter4skype:
/account (shift+return)
yourtwitteraccountname (shift+return)
yourtwitteraccountpassword (shift+return) - The system should return: twitter4skype Registration complete!
- The next time you write a chat message to twitter4skype, the entry will appear on your account and you’ll receive your friends’ twitters in Skype.
- Visit Twitter 4 Skype
- 14 points

Is this bot operated by Twitter, or is it by a third party? I'd be concerned about handing out my username and password to agents I know nothing about.

It's either a feature or a it's a bug.
I tried it and the reply back indicatcats twitter4skype is the company to investigate.
Since I don't usually send financial data over an app like twitter I consider this a nifty trick.
I tend to use other ID/PW combos for sensitive data.
