More twitter problems

It has been REALLY frustrating using Twitter over the last several days. We have had major problems connecting and posting. The kitten fixing the server pictures are getting tiresome really fast...

Heck I knew it was an IP issue when I got on this morning, when I went to another IP it worked. The problem is that it took them a long time to realize this problem, and I wonder how long before they fix it. I guess it depends on how many people are effected by it. The other problem is my first thought was is it just my IP? ...did they ban it by mistake. You don't know what to think mainly because you can't get on Twitter. :)

It is an IP issue. Go to proxytwitter.com and in web address complete twitter.com. It can't do searches but it can let you find people and see info on the people you follow.

Twitter like every other site is going to have to change and upgrade. I hope they can do it in a way that won't effect people so much, like You Tube did for example. Hopefully they already have good programmers working for them. But just watch either Twitter will change to improve the service of the huge amount of people depending on it, or they will be replaced by the many other sharks looking to take away what they have going.

It seems to be only certain places and certain ip addressed that are effected. It is frustrating though because you can't get a Twitter update to know it is working! I hope that they will update it on this page or else I just have to keep trying every hour -_- ...I need my tweets, it's Sunday! *shakes uncontrollably* Thanks you though for looking into and trying to resolve this problem as soon as possible. :)

My access to twitter dropped about 3am cst. I started getting 404 page not found errors.

On tracert, my twitter request always times out.

All other websites working fine.

IsTwitterDown.com says that twitter is working.

But, IsThisDown.com says that Twitter is not working.

I have not been able to find anyone claiming that they cannot access Twitter, except on this page, where two people seem to be echoing my experience.

I wondered since no one was talking about it if perhaps it was just me - like perhaps they blocked my ip or something.

So I tried anonymous surfing and proxy servers to access Twitter. On 2 different proxies, I was able to reach Twitter in some fashion. On one, I was only able to hit the home page. On another, I was able to look at profile pages of some of the people I follow, but could not see my profile page.

On another 20 proxy servers, I could not reach twitter at all.

I am located in Oklahoma.

I have contacted them over two separate issues and have never received anything but canned responses. And they have NEVER helped me in any way.

With the most recent issue, their artificial intelligence (and I use that term loosely) suggested that I had been suspended for TOS, spamming, or phishing when I was in fact reporting those issues to them!

I think Twitter is swimming in the deep end... and they went unqualified in swimming class! If it weren't for a few of my friends, and a few that don't know me but I like reading their posts, I'd likely move on and shake the dust off of my shoes... and quickly.

By the way: the tweets are unique!

I contacted the Twitter Support, but they can't help me.

I've heard many great things about the networking capacity but I have been prompted with "too many tweet" error messages and 'there must be something wrong with your photo'. I have been having problems with uploading pictures. It lets me know that it excepted the pic but it does not show up at all on the my profile or anyone elses. I'm giving Twitter a little more time, but if things stay the same, I know I'll not be making any Tweets after July 1st.

Try this:

Clear your browser's cache, including your browser history. When you type the Twitter URL into your browser window, don't let firefox "autocomplete" it for you - type the whole thing yourself to make sure it's working right.

Are you accessing Twitter through the web?
